Yoga
Yoga classes for Mums-to-be from 14 weeks pregnant to birth
During pregnancy yoga is a wonderful practice for you and your baby, whether
you are new to yoga or already an experienced practitioner. Yoga classes
are a great way to prepare yourself for the birthing process. Practices
will also be learned that will be helpful to manage pain during labour.
You will also enjoy bonding with your baby and the company of other pregnant
women.
Yoga for your pregnancy
Classic asanas (yoga postures) have been adapted to promote well-being and
mobility throughout pregnancy. The yoga practices combine the breath with
the movement of the body. Prananyama (breathing practices) are learned to
help prepare the women's spontaneous breath for labour and later on in parenting.
Classes also place an emphasis on meditation and deep relaxation -invaluable
tools for pregnancy, birthing and parenting.
The classes are designed to tap into your body’s wisdom and to help
with confidence and trust. The postures and practices learnt in class are
encouraged to be practiced at home throughout pregnancy.
